Scrapheap Challenge – Drag Boats – Season 13 – Episode 3
Sunday, August 28th, 2011
The junkyard is where old machines come to die. But on Junkyard Mega-Wars it is where two titans of trash reanimate discarded junk and turn it into lean, mean racing machines.
Col. Dick runs a tightly disciplined operation, just like he did in the British military. Archrival Hackett is a free-thinking radical artist who’s into insane design but bored by mere mechanics. It’s a classic clash of military discipline and artistic anarchy.
These two captains have a scant 10 hours to build drag boats capable of burning the water over a 200-yard straightaway. Each team has two chances. Whoever goes the distance in the fastest time is the winner.
The challenge will require major teamwork. The captains choose their teams from an eclectic group of skilled builders and artisans. There’s Heather, a metal sculptor who’s a world-class welder. Brandon’s a champion rock crawler and ace fabricator. Deb’s a motorcycle mama who’s a can-do all-around fixer. Jared’s a gung-ho street racer. Cliff’s a brainiac mechanics professor. And there’s Monk — a drag-racing biker with a talent for details.
Both teams race against the clock and each other to build their drag boats. Both Hackett and the Colonel want the fastest, baddest boats, but they differ wildly on how to power them. The next day the drag boats are put to the extreme speed challenge. It’s an out-of-control race of explosions, flames and machines gone wild.

Biker chic gone wild
Saturday, August 27th, 2011Agree or Disagree: Today’s kids shows and cartoon SUCK compared to the old school ones from the 80′s and 90′s?
Sunday, August 14th, 2011I don’t know about you, but I HATE all these stupid new shows and cartoons so much! They’re all weak and boring and they’ve got nothing but violence, bad words,
meaningless stuff, and crap in all of them that rots childrens brains. They’re NOT like
the fun and exciting shows I use to watch back in the 1980′s and 1990′s that were
good and awesome for the kids and children like…
1 – Jem And The Holograms
2 – Kids Incorporated
3 – Kidsongs
4 – Doug {Nickelodeon}
5 – Adventures In Wonderland {TV series}
6 – Reading Rainbow
7 – Captain Planet and The Planeteers
8 – He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe
9 – Sailro Moon
10 – The Power Rangers
11 – Wishbone {PBS}
12 – Disney’s One Saturday Morning
13 – The Magic School Bus
14 – Animaniacs
15 – Tiny Toon Adventures
16 – Pepper Ann
17 – Tom And Jerry Kids Show
18 – Double Dare
19 – Eureeka’s Castle
20 – What Would You Do {Nickelodeon}
21 – Rocko’s Modern Life
22 – Salute Your Shorts
23 – Wimzie’s House {PBS}
24 – Hi-5 {Australian and US versions}
25 – Zoom {PBS}
26 – Are You Afraid Of The Dark?
27 – Clarrisa Exlplains It All
28 – Sabrina The Teenage Witch
29 – Boy Meets World
30 – Roundhouse {Nickelodeon}
31 – Carmen Sandiego
32 – Bill Nye ThE Science Guy
33 – Growing Pains
34 – My Cousin Skeeter
35 – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
36 – Global Guts
37 – Animal Jam {Discovery Kids}
38 – Mr Rogers Neighborhood
39 – Adventures With Kanga Roddy
40 – Barney And Friends/The Backyard Gang
41 – Lamb Chop’s {PBS}
42 – Wild And Crazy Kids
43 – Hey Dude
44 – Ned’s Newt
45 – Big Bad Beetleborgs
46 – Legends Of The Hidden Temple
47 – Adventures Of Pete And Pete
48 – Biker Mice From Mars
49 – G.I. Joe
50 – Transformers
51 – Dragon Tales {PBS}
52 – Mickey Mouse Club {MMC}
53 – Kidsong TV Show
54 – Baywatch
55 – Fifteen {Nicelodeon}
56 – The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
57 – School House Rock
58 – Rocket Power
59 – The Secret World Of Alex Mack
60 – Gullah Gullah Island
And so much MORE!!!
All these old school and classic kid shows and cartoons were more fun and better
than all this new stuff and garbage that they have on televison today. All the old
school shows and cartoons I listed don’t have any bad words, violence, nudity, sex,
and negativity at all in them like all these overrated new shows cartoons today do!
The boring stupid new shows and trash they have today will NEVER, EVER, EVER
be like the number one old school shows and cartoons we grew up with and deeply
cherished from our chlidhood and teen years. They were the best and they always
will be too.
And that’s why I love all the old school TV shows from the 1980′s, 1990′s, and early
2000′s because they were so much fun and cooler to watch and have your kids and children to watch. And everyday life was fun and exciting back in the old school days with fun things to do everyday unlike today’s generation that’s boring, overrated, and ain’t got nothing going for it either. I’d do ANYTHING to go back to the year 1984 and be on Kids Incorporated because that’s one of my most favorite shows!
So do any of you remember watching any of these shows I listed and growing up
with them as a kid and teenager?
I SURE DO, AND I LOVE THEM ALL!!!
I watched about half those shows on that list growing up and yes I agree, kids shows these days are just terrible. I have a younger cousin and I could barely sit through one of the shows she was watching one day. it made me feel dumber by the minute. When my brother and I were kids we wanted to be on that PBS show Zoom and countless other shows like that so we would pretend we were or make up our own show. If a show makes kids imagine something or create something then its a good show.
