Motorcycle: Sweeper undertake crash
Guy bins his bike on a sweeper trying to undertake a car (+aftermath). Looks like he hit the gravel and lost it. This video illustrates a few things you _shouldn’t_ do when riding a motorbike (Squidiot!).

– no police to investigate why and how you crashed so that even when you leave the hospital you can still be persued for wreckless and dangerous driving/riding.
- every piece of track on a circuit becomes familiar, predictable, every curve more familiar with each lap so you CAN push your limit a little at a time. This is NOT the case with a public road. Even if you know the road well, you can never be 100% certain the ‘conditions’ the ‘variables’ will always be the same.

This shows why riding a motorcycle like you would on a circuit, would not work at all on a public road. On a circuit :
- no cars
- no oncomming traffic
- no cliff’s
- no guard rails to severe your head from your neck
- usually there is a standby emergency team for race days or track days

I’ve had a lot of traction issues with debris on the side of the road. Right or wrong, that’s the way I do it. Besides, life’s a journey, not a destination. Or in other word, Yes I am a fuddy duddy.
I’ve never had an oil slick issues but I’ll be thinking about that from now on.

If you never leave the centre of the road then you too are doing it wrong. Right or left side, otherwise you risk hitting the oil patches in the middle. I agree with most of what your saying but make sure you do your homework before you start calling people idiots lest you become one your self.

@iamwooddude All the more reason for a biker to careful. This guy did everything wrong that he could have. Personally, I never leave the center of the road. The shoulder is where all the sand and rocks are that cause you to lose traction. Also speeding and passing on the right don’t help. Being crazy doesn’t mean being stupid.
