How to Ride a Motorcycle for the Very First Time!

More info below in this video’s description V V V

Alright, regarding the braking issue…a few people have said that you should learn to use both brakes from the beginning……and I agree. But just not the VERY beginning. Because the VERY FIRST time you use a bike it’s confusing enough without two different brakes being thrown in….one of which if pulled too hard can drop the bike on it’s side in a flash. So the point of this video is to learn how to use the clutch….and while focusing on that….it’s best to just focus on that. And when coming to a complete stop…..you should be braking rear 90% and front 10%. Which is the opposite of how you brake when traveling at speed.

    @dollabilljj Just find a bike that you are comfortable with. A Ninja should be perfect for a beginner bike. It should also be fast enough for some light highway riding. I wouldn’t recomend any touring on it.

    @tenchufreak No, …
    @tenchufreak No, but the power from the engine to the rear wheel would be disconnected. The bike would be coasting. If your’e going down a steep hill, you may end up going faster if you engage the clutch. You really need to apply the brakes too.

    I ran out of room… But I was gonna say that I’m not sure if I wanted the Ninja 250R, I really don’t wanna get crap about it lol… Although I see nothing wrong with it. Still wanting to see what you think someone should get with very minor motorcycle experience.

    I’ve ridden …
    I’ve ridden dirtbikes many different times (never owned one). I’d say I’ve ridden about 20 times. Never did anything crazy, just casual cruising. But the first time I rode, my buddy’s dad told me exactly everything you said here, which was so helpful. I’m 17, going to get my motorcycle permit or whatever soon, and then getting a bike when I turn 18. What is a good bike for me to get, stating the things I have above. Just something under $10,000 (college costs money too lol). Please reply back.

    @crm1006 I think that they’re right. You should start small and work your way up as you gain experience. And enrol for proper bike tuition. I did, many years ago, and it was very informative and enjoyable. Good luck.
