I love my GS, but … I love my GS, but when you can buy 4 KLR’s for the price of one GS Adventure it’s very hard to justify the BMW. Long live the KLR, deep down us GS riders wish we had an Enduro we could beat on and not feel bad about.
niceeee.. its funny cause most of the guys that i ride with have ktm’s and bmw’s and i ride the “lowly” klr. yet im always the first one willing to cross a river, take a hill, and if something breaks, fix it. These beemers take 3x longer and the ktms take 5x longer to repair on the side of the road…
A newer KLR will do … A newer KLR will do fine. You could also try a used BMW 650GS. Fix the dookickie, leave with a new chain and sprocket, and take along spares too. I ride on Avon Distanzia’s and they last about 10,000 miles. I road 13,000 miles total on the trip.
NO WAY I’m from … NO WAY I’m from salt lake and I’m doing a panama trip later this year on hopefully a newer KLR. That’s one problem I read about having bolts vibrate loose. Also, did you do the chain tensioner doohickie upgrade or are those stock bikes? How many miles total and how long did the tire last? What would you do if you were me besides getting a BMW? please respond
well yea that Road … well yea that Road suck, but is in the middle of nothing . Curse is not reason to say that CR is bad. Costa Rica is one of the best Country’s in America to live …So guess how the other Country’s Live lol…
i love costa rica. … i love costa rica. i spent a lot of time in jaco, Hotel Zabamar near the casino is where i stayed while i was there. the people i was with knew the owner zyda really well. i drank and ate a lot at the rincon, cheapest place to eat. awesome country..
they must be in the … they must be in the southern part, looks like palm plantations about oh an hour or two below jaco? what is that the panama-costarica highway they’re building? i lived there for two months, costa rica is amazing.
first of all… … first of all… that is some shity motocycle… of course it was gonna fall apart. Second, if you dont like CR’s Roads well then go else where to drive… Third, that road was in the middle of nowhere, so of course it was a shity road, and fourth… what was that loser doing there anyways?
